Mara and the Dragon is now available
Heartforge Films’ first movie is here. Watch Mara and the Dragon on YouTube and enter an original fantasy world shaped by conquest, courage, and the bond between a young woman and her dragon.
The official upload is titled A King Hunted Her as a Child… Now She Rides the Dragon He Fears. That is the same film introduced on this website as Mara and the Dragon. The direct watch link in this article starts at the beginning, so you can follow the story from its opening.
A dragon adventure with family at its center
Mara’s journey begins when violence reaches her childhood home. Separation forces her into an unfamiliar life, carrying a young dragon named Flint with her. The kindness of a blind Danish woman gives them a chance to find shelter and grow.
As Mara becomes an adult and Flint becomes a powerful companion, their world expands. The freedom of flight stands against a danger that remains close to the ground: the threat to the people and places Mara loves. That tension gives the fantasy adventure its personal stakes.
From the film journal to the screen
Earlier Heartforge Films articles introduced the project through artwork, character backgrounds, and its Viking-inspired setting. Those posts were written during production. With the movie now available, you can see the story in motion rather than only as individual images.
If you discovered the film under its earlier working title, Daughter of Ash, the current title is Mara and the Dragon. The characters at its center remain Mara and Flint. Visit the official film page for the player and artwork, or go directly to the YouTube upload.
A spoiler-light invitation
This release article leaves the outcome of Mara’s struggle for the film itself. Before watching, the main things to know are simple: Mara has already experienced loss, Flint has grown alongside her, and protecting a home means more than defending a place.
The setting is an original fantasy world inspired by the Viking period. It combines dragon flight and conflict with a story about attachment and responsibility. It is not a historical documentary.
